Do you have to pay workers'
compensation claims on false injuries? Do you suspect someone from
your company is stealing from you? We know you want answers. Not
only for peace of mind, but for legal recourse if necessary. Northwest
Arkansas Investigations and Security Services can assist you in
getting the evidence you need to prove your case, either legal,
business, or personal.
NAWI is experienced and
trained in today's investigative techniques and laws to provide
you with the most accurate, and legal evidence for your case or
suit.
Theft - Loss Prevention
Many businesses in the United States and abroad lose millions of
dollars every year in retail fraud, shop-lifting, and employee thefts.
There are those individuals who believe in getting something for
nothing. Statistics show that 1 out of every 5 people we know have
participated in one of these acts. Whenever this occurs, it affects
each of us. It creates higher prices for goods and services, to
the consumer.
Northwest Arkansas Investigations offers a loss
prevention program to catch these criminals, and prosecute them
to the fullest extent of the law.
Our Security Officers can provide you with the
anti-theft protection needed at your business or facility. Our SO's
dress in normal street clothes, and pose as shoppers. While doing
this, they will observe for potential shop-lifters, and conduct
surveillance on these individuals, while still being discreet, and
undetected. If the individual decides to take an item, and not pay
for it, the SO will stop the individual, and detain them, and a
decision by our client to file charges and prosecute said individual
will be made at that time.
An effective loss prevention program or security
analysis can create higher profit margins, and lower prices for
the consumer.
Worker's Compensation Claims
Workman's Compensation claims cost you money. Workman's Compensation
fraud is one of the most costly expenses to any company. Northwest
Arkansas Investigations & Security Services will actively pursue
any investigation swiftly and professionally to provide you with
the necessary information upon your request.
Background Investigations
or Pre-employment Checks
Background checks are also known as pre-employment screening. Most
of the "business" background checks that we perform are
for this purpose. NWAI performs criminal record checks, social security
number verifications, motor vehicle department reports, education
and license verifications, and credit reports, among others.
Motor vehicle reports are invaluable to businesses
that employ drivers of company vehicles and include such vehicle
violations as driving while intoxicated and other drug or alcohol-related
incidents, citations for speeding, accidents, failure to appear
in court violations, and bench warrants.
NAWI will also perform:
Employment Verifications
For the last 3 employers or the past 5 years. Provide the resume
or application and we will contact all employers about position
held, salary, and if eligible for re-hire. Some employers may
prohibit this information to be released.

Education Verification
We will verify a subject's claimed statements involving Educational
Credentials. (High School, College, Professional, Doctorate and
dates of Graduation).

type of license issued, license number, date of issue, and date
of expiration. We will also report any disciplinary actions that
may have been taken.

doctor's schooling, licenses, certifications, and disciplinary
actions.

Polygraph Examinations
Polygraph Examinations or Lie Detector Tests are often used in conjunction
with pre-employment checks or when employee theft is suspected.
If employee theft is suspected, The Employee
Polygraph Protection Act of 1988 requires that the employer
or business must:
- Have suffered a specific
economic loss
- The employee to be
tested had access to the missing property or loss
- The employee is suspected
of involvement in the missing property or loss beyond mere access.
- The employee must
be notified in writing of the request to take the exam at least
48 hours (not including weekends or holidays) prior to the scheduled
exam.
- The employee must
be advised of the incident under investigation
- The employee must
be advised of their legal rights and that the exam is voluntary
- And more
NWAI will help your business follow the EPPA guidelines
required when using a Polygraph Examination before or after a loss.
Testing is available at your location or NWAI will provide the location
for testing.
Fingerprinting
With the increase in crime, and employee theft, businesses are becoming
increasingly concerned with obtaining a more in-depth background
history of their employees or perspective employees. Fingerprinting
can provide vital information on employees. NWAI services organizations
that are required to comply with applicable background check statutes,
including healthcare facilities, day-care centers, school systems,
and many others.
